Job description
The job of computer security engineer, also called computer systems security expert, web security engineer or even cybersecurity engineer, generally consists in ensuring the security of the computer systems of his own company or that in which he operates and in tracking down the possible faults on the internal and external networks. The IT security engineer deploys his skills in four areas:
• coordination of the EDI team
• securing,
• training-advice,
• technological and legal monitoring.
Thanks to an excellent methodology, he (she) will analyze, evaluate, secure and, if necessary, troubleshoot the computer systems on the various networks. The IT security engineer will also work to raise awareness among the company's employees so that they adhere to the recommended procedures and adopt the essential actions to secure data. To do this, it will sometimes be necessary to support and train the teams in a more sustained way. Finally, an important - and fundamental - part of the work of the computer security expert will be to update his knowledge and the latest techniques and technologies in the field of security, on a regular basis.
